What is a virtual conference?

A virtual conference is hosted online, as opposed to attending an event at a venue, in-person.

As an attendee, you’ll still experience the same high-quality content as an in-person conference via presentations, discussion panels and Q&A sessions.

Chemical Watch virtual conferences are as similar to in-person conferences as possible, with a few tweaks to best suit you, our online audience.

At a Chemical Watch virtual conference, you can enjoy online chat forums between fellow attendees, conference-wide polls, virtual clinics with speakers on specific topics, and informative sessions, from the comfort of your home or office.

You can join and participate from anywhere in the world – all you need is internet access and a viewing device, such as a laptop, smartphone, smart television, or tablet.

Attend the virtual event live plus catch up with the video recordings later if the times don't suit you.

Chemical Watch Virtual Conferences

Benefits of attending our virtual conferences

Meaningful networking opportunities

Ask questions relating to your role, company, products, sector, or specific regulations, to our panel of expert speakers, and get valuable answers – without leaving your home or office.

Attend from anywhere, at anytime

Sustainable and environmentally-friendly

In-person events usually require travel, hotel accommodations, and food expenses, but registering for our virtual conferences means that you only pay for the attendance fee.

Attend the entire virtual conference from the comfort of your home or office.

Networking is a fundamental part of our programme of conferences, so we’re making it as easy as possible for you to make the most of our networking opportunities at our virtual conferences. Meet and share your experiences with fellow attendees with live chat forums, access to private LinkedIn groups with speakers and delegates, and virtual meetings. Plus, you’ll have instant access to fellow attendees, as well as speakers and exhibitors, without the need to track them down in person.

Your questions answered by the experts

All you need is an internet connection, and a viewing device, such as a laptop, desktop computer, tablet, smartphone, or smart television. For the best viewing experience, we recommend watching on a larger screen in your house – usually a home computer or laptop.

You don’t need to travel to attend our virtual conferences. Plus, with the recorded presentations made available to you once the conference has finished, you can watch them again whenever suits you best.

As you won’t need to travel, you’ll also reduce your carbon emissions. Plus, any materials that are usually printed at our conferences will be digital, minimising the need for more paper.

Virtual conference FAQs

How do I join a virtual conference?

Once you register for a virtual conference online, you’ll be sent further information on how to join – you’ll also be re-sent joining instructions a day before the conference.

You don’t have to, but to get the most out of your virtual conference experience, we advise that you tune in live, so you can network with fellow attendees, ask questions to the experts, and get regulatory updates as they happen. However, if the times don't work for you or you are unable to clear your diary, you can catch up with the video recordings for all the presentations.

Can my colleagues attend?

Each delegate attending the virtual event will have their own individual login. This is so you can each ask your own questions, and network with other attendees separately, so you can get more out of the virtual conference. For discounts on multiple delegates, please contact us at events@chemicalwatch.com.

What exhibitor opportunities are there at virtual Chemical Watch conferences?

As with all Chemical Watch conferences, we offer opportunities for service providers with products, services, or softwares that help the regulatory community, including:

  •  advertising space on our website, in dedicated event emails, and in our weekly alerts;
  • virtual coffee breaks with attendees;
  • Q&A clinic chat rooms to discuss how your service can help delegates;
  • the list of attendee names and companies, so you can contact them after the event; and
  • revolving slides and introductions in our conference breaks.

Which Chemical Watch conferences will be virtual?

The Chemical Watch team has launched our virtual conferences programme to ensure you still have access to the business-critical information and network of contacts you need in this uncertain period.

No additional software necessary

Do I have to attend a virtual conference live?

Format worked really well especially with the switching between speakers and their good interaction during Q&A session."

A helpful way of getting information when travelling is not an option. Good to be able to see presenters and presentations at the same time."

Product Stewardship Specialist, Perstorp AB

The topic was very interesting and useful for me. The organisation was great and speakers were excellent.

How will I be able to network virtually?

Our new online networking area allows you to grab a virtual coffee with others, just like you would at a live event. You can send direct messages in virtual meeting rooms, and join tables for group video calls. Throughout our conferences, we'll be facilitating various sessions on these tables, from 'ask the expert' sessions to focus groups and forums. Anyone can set up their own table to chat with fellow attendees and speakers, too.
